He is an experienced CEO with expertise in corporate strategy, capital allocation, corporate finance, M&A, hedge funds, investment banking, and Equity. His business achievements have been highlighted in Barron's, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, The New York Times, Restaurant News, and the Los Angeles Times.

Patrick Walsh was born in San Diego, CA, where his father served as a Naval Officer and his mother worked as a school teacher. When he was two years old, his family moved to New England, and he grew up in Boston, MA. He attended Wesleyan University, where he studied Economics and was a two-sport athlete in Football and Baseball. After a back injury ended his athletic career, he transferred to Boston College, graduating with honors in Accountancy.

After completing his degree, Patrick earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, passing all three exam levels on his first attempt. He furthered his investment education by studying under Professor Greenwald at Columbia University's Executive Value Investing Program.

Patrick's professional journey began in 1998 at Prudential Capital Group and Prudential Securities, where he worked as an investment analyst specializing in Commercial Real Estate and publicly traded REITs. He then became a vice president of the real estate, gaming, lodging, and leisure investment banking group at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. Before founding PW Partners, he was a partner at a value-oriented hedge fund in Chicago.

Patrick's entrepreneurial spirit has led to his involvement in various industries beyond Wall Street. He has held board positions at BJ's Restaurants, Del Taco, Famous Dave's of America, and Town Sports International. Under his involvement, these companies improved significantly, showcasing his investment expertise and business acumen. In 2015, Restaurant News named him one of the 50 most powerful people in the restaurant industry.

In 2018, Ernst and Young recognized Patrick Walsh as Entrepreneur of The Year in New York. Among his notable achievements is the turnaround of Town Sports, which was on the brink of bankruptcy when he took over in 2016. Despite widespread predictions of failure, he committed to saving the company. By 2018, after strategic and operational improvements, the company's stock price rose from a low of 92 cents in 2016 to over $14 per share. EY has honored entrepreneurs whose innovation and discipline have driven their companies' success and positively impacted their communities, including leaders like Howard Schultz, Pierre Omidyar, and Jeff Bezos.

Outside of his professional life, Patrick is an avid reader with many literary interests. He also enjoys fitness activities, cooking, and traveling.

Patrick Walsh continues to make a significant impact in the investment world, using his skills and knowledge to succeed in every venture he undertakes.
